About Me
After leaving college I
started work as an apprentice organ builder, making, restoring
and tuning church pipe organs.
I soon found that I liked the woodworking side of the job the
most and particularily enjoyed woodcarving. I started my own business
in 1993 making wooden toys, games and furniture.
In my first year I made a
rockinghorse as a present for a friend and found at that time
there was quite a demand for them so my time intially was split
between furniture and rocking horses.
I then began to focus on
furniture commissions and developing new ideas
The popularity of rocking
horses has really taken off recently and you can find a lot of
makers on the internet so I don't tend to make many but will always
take a commission if i'm not too busy, I would particularily enjoy
commissions for original carousel style horses.
You can read a short guide to what too look for when buying a
rocking horse here

I have always had a interest in marionettes puppets,
so recently I have used my carving knowledge to make wooden
marionettes. I have made and performed puppets for schools,
tv, film and music videos.
